Foundations of Design and Innovation Curriculum – 3D Printing Edition
Innovation is more than using technology, it is changing students’ ways of thinking to empower them to think critically and solve real-world problems. Our curriculum focuses not only on technologies and subject areas, but also on soft skills that are so important in today’s global environment. Collaboration, team building, social-emotional learning, perseverance, and critical thinking are themes that run throughout our units. Every lesson includes hands-on activities that let students experiment and learn in ways that meet their individual needs. Each book is designed with flexibility in mind. Divided into beginner, intermediate, and advanced, the lessons can be adapted to students’ level of experience with and knowledge of the technology. Each unit follows the 5E learning model: Engage, Explore, Explain, Engineer, and Evaluate.
