Throop Elementary School STEM Lab

Throop Elementary School, located in Paoli, Indiana, partnered with STEM Education Works to provide students with access to STEM education and hands-on learning. The school established STEM spaces equipped with a variety of STEM technologies used to teach STEM concepts like robotics, coding, and more. Access to these studios encourages students to:

Preparing students for the future.

Throop Elementary School has collaborated with STEM Education Works to establish an engaging environment for students to explore a range of STEM technologies. These include the Dobot Magician, Glowforge, littleBits, Brown Dog Gadget's Solar Bugs, 3D printers, Spheros, and more ... all accessible to students. Each of these technologies enable students to sharpen their problem-solving skills and explore various STEM disciplines. Students are encouraged to create user guides for the technology they use, promoting critical thinking and creating resources for future students.
The partnership with STEM Education Works has received positive feedback from students, teachers, parents, and administrators. Throughout the entire process, STEM Education Works has provided Throop Elementary School with ongoing support, answering questions about the different technologies or curriculum, and working through any technical difficulties the school may encounter. This support ensures that Throop Elementary School maintains an environment that nurtures students' interest in STEM and cultivates their critical thinking skills.
