Ozobot Engineering Kit: Student Task Cards
Designed for elementary classrooms, STEM labs, after-school programs, homeschool learning, and district-wide science initiatives, these task cards help students build problem-solving skills through hands-on, phenomenon-based engineering challenges.
Each card introduces a real-world science or engineering scenario, then invites students to design, build, test, improve, and explain their solution. With open-ended prompts and no single right answer, students strengthen critical 21st century skills, including communication, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration, while practicing the Engineering Design Process in a meaningful, age-appropriate way.
Created for use with the Ozobot Engineering Kit, these student task cards make it easy to add hands-on STEM learning, coding extensions, and collaborative design challenges to your classroom.
What’s Included
30 double-sided engineering task cards for student-led exploration and teacher-facilitated instruction.
Front of Card
Student Prompt
A clear, challenge-based scenario written for independent or small-group problem solving.
Materials List
Simple, hands-on materials pulled from the Engineering Kit to support building, testing, and iteration.
Back of Card
Teacher-Led Prompt
Use Color Codes and Ozobot Evo to extend the challenge, deepen scientific understanding, and connect engineering decisions to coding concepts.
Go Further Extension
An optional extension activity that encourages students to refine their designs, test new variables, explain tradeoffs, and apply higher-level critical thinking.
