Girl Scouts of NE Ohio DreamLab

Sheffield Village, OH – January 24, 2025 – The Girl Scouts of North East Ohio launched the Jane Norton Girl Scout DreamLab in Sheffield Village, Ohio – the first DreamLab located in Ohio and the tenth in the country. This groundbreaking facility, designed to ignite young minds and build life skills through STEM activities, features advanced learning technologies, including 3Doodler 3D printing pens and Dobot Magician robotic arms, as well as a rotating climbing wall and a knot-tying station.

The facility in Sheffield Village is focused on attracting young learners and will host Girl Scouts, elementary schools, and other local groups. It was funded by multiple philanthropists and businesses, which include the Norton family, SME, Ford Motor Company, the Elyria Rotary Club, and the Community Foundation of Lorain County.

STEM Education Works is helping to create an engaging and hands-on learning environment for Girl Scouts, local schools, and community organizations by providing essential equipment and training. Beyond supplying cutting-edge STEM tools and professional development, STEM Education Works is dedicated to building curricula that are custom-built for their technologies, like the STEM Quest Activity Cards, which provide quick activities that coincide with STEM tools used in the lab.
