This middle school 3D Printing Engineering Design curriculum introduces students to computer-aided design (CAD) and the Engineering Design Process through engaging STEM challenges. Students learn to:

• Create and modify 3D models
• Explore product design principles
• Apply mathematical concepts such as geometry and spatial reasoning
• Evaluate designs based on functionality, aesthetics, and user needs

Students also examine how emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), may influence design, engineering, and manufacturing while exploring the important role human creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving play in developing innovative solutions.
